Highland Hall is seeking a First Grade Class Teacher to begin the journey starting in the 2026-27 School Year.
Qualifications/Responsibilities
A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Waldorf Teacher training certificate (or near completion) is preferred. Preference is given to those with prior teaching experience. Candidates should have initiative and a willingness to work in an inclusive community. A collaborative nature is important.
Our beautiful 11-acre campus sits atop a grassy hill in a scenic neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. Our children both learn and play in an environment filled with open, grassy space and a variety of trees, with opportunity for nature walks. We have a garden and chickens, and an orchard where the children learn to cultivate fruits, vegetables, and other plants. Our campus also has a large playing field and gymnasium where the children enjoy a variety of physical activities. We also have a kind and supportive faculty.
Salary
Salaries range commensurate with experience ($55,000-72,000). The comprehensive benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, a 403(b)-retirement plan, vision, life and long-term disability insurance. Tuition remission is provided for full- time faculty children.
