After School Care Manager

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated AFTER SCHOOL CARE Manager. We would love to hear from enthusiastic, experienced after-school care candidates interested in supporting our school community. The After School Care Manager supports our school’s offering of a warm, safe environment after regular school hours, by supervising students playing indoors and out, and by managing end of day operations and safety protocols. Responsibilities include:

Supporting a multi-aged group of children.

Substituting the ASC Director, as needed.

Managing health and safety protocols.

Maintaining communications and coordinating with other groups on campus.

Supervising safe traffic circle, gate access, sign-in and out, and other aspects of parents picking up their children.

Interacting with parents with honesty, courtesy, warmth, and professionalism.

Communicating with teachers and administrative staff, as needed.

Parent Child Teacher- Part-Time Position

This position is responsible for holding classes in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors, for parents and their children ranging from two months to three years. In addition, this position is responsible for attending faculty and mentoring meetings as well as liaising with the administration, faculty, and parents, as needed. Essential Functions • Facilitate educational opportunities in the form of discussions and readings to provide inspiration, tools, and support for parenting • Provide families with a warm introduction to Waldorf education and Highland Hall Waldorf School • Thoughtful planning of the daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms of the class • Maintain open communication with parents • Participate in school community and public relations events (e.g. open house) • Other duties as directed to meet the needs of the school. Education / Certifications • Bachelor's Degree • Waldorf teaching or LIFEWAYS certification from a recognized institution • Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification • Current TB clearance JOB DESCRIPTION • Understanding and embracing of Waldorf pedagogy • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – detailed, clear, and concise • Commitment to a collaborative work environment • Organizational and time management skills Skills, Specialized Knowledge, Experience • Waldorf parent-child teaching experience or Waldorf lead teaching experience • Deep commitment to Waldorf principles
