Our experienced faculty and staff are dedicated to providing the finest Waldorf education for our students. Enrollment Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  As the Enrollment Manager, you are the face of this special school.   We are blessed to have a beautiful 11-acre campus, a bountiful garden, a Eurythmy program, a dedicated faculty, and, most importantly, we have a community that truly cares about one another and our school.  In this role, you are working in collaboration with faculty and staff to attract students and families who will be a positive addition to this tight-knit community.  You help make sure that those who are accepted are able to transition smoothly and feel like they belong.  Your skill helps this school thrive in a way that is a result of all that you offer in your new role.  General Duties  Manage an admissions process that fully aligns with the needs of the school and the families it serves so that we continue to have a school with thriving students. Work in collaboration with faculty and staff, and with community to support, to assist in reaching new families to join us.  Lead Ambassador  You are the first person prospective families meet and you get the privilege of building a relationship with them, helping them to integrate into the school.  You understand the perspective of contemporary parents who are looking for a school for their children.  You understand Waldorf education well so that you can ensure prospective families are making a conscious choice to choose our Waldorf school.  Admissions events  By doing outreach and helping people learn about what we have to offer, you provide prospective families the opportunity to apply for admission.   You work closely with the Early Childhood Center faculty to help make it an automatic and smooth transition from the ECC to first grade and beyond.  You work closely with the High School Faculty to help make a smooth transition from Grade 8 to the High School.  Admissions Process  You understand the financial realities of the school so you can support student enrollment as it relates to tuition adjustment and scholarship opportunities.  You coordinate with the Marketing Manager to create appealing visits for parents and students that are warm and show them all Highland Hall has to offer.   You are available to provide one on one tours for families throughout the calendar year. You work in tandem with the Admissions Committee to ensure admission decisions are clear and well-communicated in order to create a smooth and secure process for applicants.  You follow up with families throughout the entire admission process so they feel cared about and welcome and as if they already belong.  You continue to elevate the admissions process and ensure that records are maintained and held securely.   You will be supported by and reporting to the Director of Advancement and Operations.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, including proofreading and editing for grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strict adherence to the confidentiality required of the position.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and coordinate projects, set priorities, meet and track deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Capacity to dedicate oneself to the high demands of a private school admissions office.
  EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Some college preferred; college degree a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related enrollment and/or administrative experience; must have recent, relevant work experience indicating success in the field.
  • Demonstrated insight into contemporary parents’ educational choices, and how Waldorf education meets children's educational needs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word & Excel.
  • Comfortable working with online systems, such as a student information system, and producing organized data and reports.
  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds from the floor to four feet above the floor.
  • Must be able to safely tour prospects through lengthy tours outdoors on our highly campus.
  • Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and maneuver to reach files, organize binders and related administrative activities.

$24-$26 per hour, non-exempt, benefits including remission included.

Parent Child Teacher- Part-Time Position

This position is responsible for holding classes in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors, for parents and their children ranging from two months to three years. In addition, this position is responsible for attending faculty and mentoring meetings as well as liaising with the administration, faculty, and parents, as needed. Essential Functions • Facilitate educational opportunities in the form of discussions and readings to provide inspiration, tools, and support for parenting • Provide families with a warm introduction to Waldorf education and Highland Hall Waldorf School • Thoughtful planning of the daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms of the class • Maintain open communication with parents • Participate in school community and public relations events (e.g. open house) • Other duties as directed to meet the needs of the school. Early Childhood Substitute

Our Early Childhood Center is seeking a substitute assistant teacher. The substitute may assist in the classroom and help with the transition to nap, or carry nap-time and supervise afternoon play outdoors. We are looking for someone with a calm, quiet demeanor who is interested in a non-academic, developmental, nurturing, approach to early childhood education. Candidates must have completed the state required ECE 12 course units. Substitute hours vary and are usually 8:00AM-1:00PM or 12:15-3:15, Monday through Friday.
