The Fifth Grade has been working on combining various movement and musical elements into one very lively piece, “Six Écossaise in Eb Major,” by Ludwig van Beethoven. The dynamic music, evoking the feeling of an energetic country dance, gives the students many opportunities to explore different elements of music and eurythmy. In each écossaise, students have been combining pitch, rhythm, and phrasing with movement on figure eights, wedges, scallops, and circles.
