The Waldorf curriculum for the 5th Grade includes studies of ancient Greece. This Spring, for their class play, they presented “The Ram of Phrixus,” culminating their studies of Greek mythology which has included reading a rendition of the Iliad. The students also studied historical aspects of ancient Greece, including the rise of the city-states, government, architecture, and sculpture. During the block, they studied etymology and also prepared for the Pentathlon, which they attended in Santa Barbara on Friday, May 12.
