Highland Hall Announces "Students of Excellence Merit Scholarship Program for Low-Income Families."

December 2012: Highland Hall Waldorf School, a K-12 school located in Northridge CA, is pleased to announce its "Students of Excellence Merit Scholarship" program for low-income students entering the 9th grade in the fall of 2013.  Five students with financial need who demonstrate high achievement in Academics, Music, Arts, Leadership/Community Service, and/or Athletics will be awarded a full four-year scholarship.

Interested students must complete and submit an application and financial information packet by 5:00 pm, February 28, 2013. A select number of applicants will be eligible for an interview, and contacted by the school's admissions department. Awardees of scholarship will be notified by March 31, 2013.

Awardees will enjoy a full tuition scholarship and all educational resources of our school for the entire four years of high school at Highland Hall, provided he or she meets the school’s general standards for enrollment and maintains an excellent standing in one of the above-mentioned disciplines. "Our purpose with the scholarship is to provide Waldorf education to a wider and under-served segment of the L.A. community, increasing social and financial diversity on our campus," says Lynn Kern, Administrative Director for Highland Hall. "We aim to support these special students by giving them the educational resources our school provides to help them succeed in school and in life, despite the challenges of their families’ current financial situation."
